Jump Start is a non-credit workshop introducing teachers to the National Board certification process. Teachers will learn about the Five Core Teaching Propositions, Architecture of Accomplished Teaching, and Teacher Standards that are the foundation for National Board certification. Participants will explore the component requirements, plan their personal National Board journeys, and collaborate with other candidates.
The four-day program costs $150 (non-reimbursable), which is paid to HSTA. This fee is not part of the PD reimbursement program; it is used to support the Jump Start facilitation and Candidate Support Program, which candidates have access to until they complete certification.
Dates: June 9, 2025, through June 12, 2025
Time: 4 pm to 8 pm each day
Cost: $150.00 for members (HSTA and KS teachers)
